SHORT-FORM EDITING.
Vertical edits that survive the first second. Hooks, captions, sound design and framing built for a feed that scrolls away from anything slow.
The service
THE FIRST SECOND DECIDES.
Short-form is a different craft from long-form, and editing it like a shrunken YouTube video is the most common way to waste good footage. A vertical video has roughly one second to justify itself. The hook is not the intro — it is the first frame, the first word, and often a line pulled from the middle of your take and moved to the front.
We cut for that: dead air removed entirely, the payoff teased early, captions timed to the syllable so the video works muted, and framing that keeps the subject in the safe area instead of behind the platform interface. Sound design does the rest, because on a phone speaker, rhythm is the difference between a scroll and a rewatch.
Long-form footage becomes short-form here too. A single podcast episode or webinar usually contains six to ten clips worth publishing; finding them is part of the work, not an extra.
Volume is normal. Most short-form clients publish several videos a week, which is exactly why a fixed editor matters: your hook style, caption look and pacing stay identical across every clip instead of drifting with whoever picked up the job.
Included
WHAT THE EDIT COVERS.
HOOK CONSTRUCTION
The strongest line gets found and moved to the front. The opening frame is built to stop a thumb, not to introduce a topic.
VERTICAL FRAMING
True 9:16 reframing with the subject tracked, kept clear of captions, usernames and platform buttons on every device.
BURNED-IN CAPTIONS
Word-by-word or line-by-line captions, timed tightly, styled to your brand, readable with the sound off — which is how most of the feed watches.
PACING & CUTS
Every pause, filler word and false start removed. The cut keeps moving without the jittery over-editing that makes a video exhausting.
SOUND & MUSIC
Levelled dialogue, music matched to the clip, effects placed on the beats that carry attention through the middle.
CLIPPING FROM LONG-FORM
Podcasts, streams and webinars mined for the moments that stand alone, then cut into finished vertical videos.
Process
HOW IT RUNS.
SEND FOOTAGE
Raw clips or a full long-form recording, shared over Drive or WeTransfer. Phone footage is completely fine.
AGREE THE LOOK
Caption style, colour, hook approach — fixed once at the start, then applied identically to every clip that follows.
FIRST BATCH IN 48H
Finished vertical videos, captioned and exported, ready to schedule. Batches rather than single clips keep the rhythm.
REVISIONS & DELIVERY
Notes come back as changes. Final files land in 9:16, plus 1:1 or 4:5 versions when you need them.

FAQ
SHORT-FORM, ANSWERED.
How much does Reels or TikTok editing cost?
Short-form is quoted per batch, based on clip count, length and how much source footage has to be searched through. Clipping from a two-hour podcast costs more than cutting ten clean takes, and the quote says so before anything starts.
Can you cut Shorts from my existing long-form videos?
Yes, and that is one of the most common requests. We watch the full recording, pull the moments that stand on their own, and cut them into finished vertical videos.
Do you write the hooks?
We build the hook from what you actually said — finding the strongest line and moving it to the front. Scripted hooks written from scratch can be added if you want them.
What caption style do you use?
Whatever fits your brand. Word-by-word karaoke captions, clean two-line subtitles, or a style copied from your existing videos. It gets fixed once and stays consistent.
How many videos can you handle per week?
Weekly batches are the norm and larger volumes are planned in advance so capacity is reserved rather than promised and missed.
Will the videos work without sound?
Yes. Captions are burned in and timed tightly, and the visual pacing carries the video on its own, because most of the feed watches muted.
